Dunedin , FL – The new Dunedin Community Center built by Creative Contractors Inc. has been awarded LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC.) LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the USGBC’s leading edge system for designing and constructing the world’s greenest, energy efficient, high performing buildings. “This facility is one that the community can be proud of,” said Rick Fedrizzi, President, CEO, Founding Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council. “The Dunedin Community Center is a showcase for high-performance, energy-efficient, healthy community centers, and an inspiration for others.” Environmental highlights of the design and construction of the building include:
In addition to this successfully completed green project, Creative Contractors is currently building two green elementary schools and one green office building, and is providing preconstruction services on three other green buildings.
