November 28, 2007 USF Taps Creative CEO for Award
Alan Bomstein, president of Creative Contractors, Inc. received the “Class of ‘56” Award from the University of South Florida. The award is presented annually to a non-alumnus who has rendered distinguished service to the University and the community. The award is named for the year the University was founded, and the recipient is made an honorary USF alumnus. Mr. Bomstein has served on the University Foundation Board for 12 years, currently as Treasurer and Chairman of the Investment Committee. The award was presented by President Judy Genshaft at a luncheon during Homecoming weekend. Mr. Bomstein was also introduced on the football field during the second quarter of the USF homecoming football game. Previous Class of ’56 Award winners include: Congressman Bill Young, George Steinbrenner, former congressman Sam Gibbons, Betty Castor, Frank Morsani, Gus Stavros, Stella Thayer, and Art Pepin.
